Sharing a beef with your dad, your mom, your kids, your best friend, your coworker, your neighbor, establishes a certain ritual that can't ever be duplicated. Where you get your beef sandwich becomes part of who you are not just because of the sandwich but because of the tradition created around that sandwich.
